At Dora Matthews House, we believe that everyone is unique and deserves to live a full and meaningful life in their community – regardless of age, health or disability. To learn more about how we provide the person-centred support that every individual needs to do just that, watch this video about The Ambient Way.

Dora Matthews House is an Extra Care service and offers luxury one and two bedroom apartments to the over 55’s who wish to live an independent life but may need some extra care and support at times.

Ideally situated in Coleford, Dora Matthews House is within easy reach of the historic town centre and its wide ranging local facilities.

The development provides accommodation in 44 self-contained apartments arranged over 3 floors.

Each apartment provides:

  • Fitted kitchens
  • En-suite wet rooms to the main bedroom
  • An open plan lounge/diner
  • Energy efficient design and specification
  • Lift and wheelchair access throughout
  • Specialist equipment for more frail or disabled residents

Accommodation is suitable for singles or for couples where either one partner or both might require assistance with daily living, allowing couples to carry on living together but with additional support when needed.

In addition to fantastic accommodation the complex provides a wellbeing centre. The centre is for use by residents but also the local community.

Visit us on Facebook to see what we’re up to at our service.
